Having cataract surgery involves choosing an intraocular lens (IOL)
implant that meets your lifestyle and vision needs. Valley Eye Associates
is pleased to offer you advanced Lifestyle IOL options that will
allow you to renew your vision and regain your lifestyle, not only
eliminating cataracts but reducing your dependence on glasses and
contact lenses at the same time. Please see below the IOL options - we will discuss these with you in detail at the time of your appointment
and help you select the option that will best match your lifestyle
and unique characteristics of your eyes.
1. MONOFOCAL IOL
Basic implants that usually provide good distance vision. However,
you will probably still need glasses for reading and up-close vision.
2. ASTIGMATISM - CORRECTING MONOFOCAL IOL
These implants are designed to correct cataracts and astigmatism
at the same time. This will provide you with good distance vision
superior to that obtained with a Monofocal IOL. However, you will
still need glasses for reading and up-close vision.
3. MULTIFOCAL/ACCOMMODATIVE LIFESTYLE IOL
Lifestyle implants that correct near, intermediate & distance
vision to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses & contact
lenses!
Insurance: Medicare and other insurances typically cover most of the cost of cataract surgery with a basic monofocal IOL. If you choose to take advantage of a Lifestyle IOL, your procedure will still be covered, but there are additional fees that will not be covered by your insurance.
Financing: Because Valley Eye Associates believes good vision should be affordable, we are pleased to offer a variety of financing options. Fees and financing will be discussed in detail at the time of your appointment.
